Isabella Llontop, Scholarship Winner

"I'm from a small town in Wisconsin named Marshall and attended Marshall Public Schools my entire life. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being outside and active, and catching up on tv shows. I played club volleyball for five years and got to travel to many different states and meet a lot of great people. I also played in highschool and was a varsity letter recipient all four years.

Throughout high school I was a member and activities officer for a healthcare club called HOSA. We actively promoted healthcare careers and activities for students to partake in to learn more about healthcare. HOSA had a major impact on me when it came to choosing what I wanted to do in the future. I will be attending UW - Madison in the fall to pursue a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology on the Pre-Pharmacy track. I hope to become a Pharmacologist within the next 6-8 years." - Isabella Llontop, 2022 Jim Boyd Memorial Scholarship Winner

Ashlyn Otto
PARENT: Shane Otto, Local 1871

My name is Ashlyn Otto and I am from a small town called Fairwater, Wisconsin. I went to high school in Markesan, WI and graduated in May 2021. I was very involved in the music department in Markesan. I am proud to say that I was in band for all of my middle and high school careers and transitioned into a Color Guard co-captain from 2019-2021 for our color guard team during outdoor performance and pep-band seasons. I also participated in the National Honor Society and my senior year was voted in as the treasurer. One key accomplishment for me would be that I earned an Academic All-Conference award in 2020 and 2021. I also earned Highest Honors every semester of middle and high school and thus far, I have continued that trend and earned Highest Honors for the fall semester here at UW-Green Bay. I am presently a first-year student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Democracy and Justice Studies with an emphasis in Legal Studies. I am most proud of being accepted into the Student Ambassador program here at UW-Green Bay and I am so excited to begin my journey to help people by helping people discover UW-Green Bay and how amazing it is. I hope to graduate in May of 2025 and I can't wait to continue discovering my passions at Green Bay. - Ashlyn Otto, 2022 Dode Lowe Memorial Scholarship Winner
