"Hi, I'm Sadie Olson! I am from a town called Germantown, Wisconsin, where I attended Germantown High School all four years. During my years in high school, my coursework was my main focus. I participated in numerous clubs such as Key Club, Best Buddies, Environmental Club, National Honor Society, and German Honor Society. I also participated in both school and club volleyball. Outside of school, I work part-time, I love to hike, travel, and spend time with friends. I will be a freshman at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse next fall and will be majoring in Exercise and Sport Science with the intent of becoming a physical therapist."

Megan Hamann

"My name is Megan Hamann, I’m 25 years old, and I’m from Ashland, Wisconsin. I graduated from Ashland High School in 2016 and decided to wait on college until I truly knew what path I wanted to pursue. I currently work at Memorial Medical Center in Ashland and am actively part of our AFSCME Union as a Steward. I cannot thank AFSCME enough for choosing me as their recipient of this scholarship.

In my free time, I enjoy hunting, ice fishing, archery, and supporting my husband, Brett, as he competes in arm wrestling and powerlifting events. I also have a Rottweiler, Rambo, that I love to spend time with and take on adventures with us.

I am currently pursuing my Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology from Lake Superior College in Duluth, Minnesota. In August of 2023, I will be starting my second year of the program and so far, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA my entire collegiate career. I plan on continuing this trend and graduating Summa Cum Laude in my 2025 graduating class. I have always had a passion for surgery and can’t wait to see where my journey as a Surgical Technologist takes me."
