I’m a 2024 graduate from Waunakee, Wisconsin. Throughout high school, I balanced academics with athletics and various co-curricular activities. I participated in football, basketball, track, and golf, and was actively involved in DECA, FBLA, FCA, NHS, and Student Council.

Outside of school, I worked part-time, including a marketing youth apprenticeship through Waunakee High School, where I secured sponsors for our media and broadcasting program.

This fall, I will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business as a freshman, where I plan to study finance and business management. I am eager to utilize the knowledge I gain to pursue my goal of becoming a successful entrepreneur.

I have lived in Boyd, Wisconsin all of my life and I will be graduating from Cadott High School this spring. During my time at Cadott High School, I have made so many connections with people that I am truly blessed to have in my life.

I have been an active member of the Cadott FFA, Future Farmers of America, and NHS, National Honors Society. Throughout my time in FFA, I have had many amazing opportunities including participating in the Farm Business Management CDE, Career Development Event, where my team has made it to Nationals in Indianapolis this coming fall. I have also completed a Youth Apprenticeship during high school through Milestones Early Educational Community.

Outside of school, I enjoy going to dirt track races, spending time with my family, and restoring my Grandpa and Grandmas 1945 Farmall H.

My plan for after high school is to attend Chippewa Valley Technical College, CVTC, for Business Management and hopefully in the future, I am able to own my own business with the knowledge I gain.

I live in Stoughton, WI with my fiancé and two children. I graduated with my undergraduate degree in 2015 from Upper Iowa University with a B.S. in Criminal Justice and maintained a GPA of 3.74. I work for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) as a Conservation Warden (Law Enforcement). I joined the AFSCME Union 32 relatively recently in 2023. I am very humbled and honored to be chosen for the recipient of this year’s Tom Thornton Memorial Scholarship (members only).

I’ve wanted to start my Master’s degree ever since graduating with my Bachelor’s degree however I started working in the field and learning my profession. After about 9-ish years, I have finally gotten the chance to begin my Master’s degree and will be starting my program in the Fall of 2024. I will be working on obtaining my Master’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Columbia Southern University. I am very excited to have this opportunity and be able to utilize my degree with leadership opportunities within my department!
