SUBJECT: Walker Takes 301 Flights Near WI Prisons, But Makes Zero Visits

AFSCME is disgusted by Scott Walker’s unwillingness to visit state employees who work in our Correctional Facilities. In early August, Walker stated there was “No Value” in visiting state prisons.

One Wisconsin Now recently released detailed research into Walker’s abuse of taxpayer dollars on State aircraft which found that 301 flights Walker took put him within under 40 miles of a WI prison.

“It is unacceptable for the Governor of Wisconsin to not visit the worksites of his employees to better understand their conditions,” said Rick Badger, Executive Director of AFSCME Wisconsin. “AFSCME continues to extend an open invitation to Walker to meet with our members who work in these facilities to hear first hand how his administration has harmed the state of Wisconsin.”
