AFSCME Wisconsin Council 32 is proud to announce its 2024 scholarship program! Council 32 is devoted to improving educational accessibility for hardworking AFSCME families.

Economists of diverse backgrounds, who might otherwise disagree on a range of policy issues, spoke with a single voice on Monday on the need for Congress to provide robust aid to states, cities and towns.

Such aid, they said, is crucial in the midst of an economic crisis that is decimating state and local budgets and threatening essential public services that are critical to beating the pandemic and jumpstarting the economy.

AFSCME Wisconsin Thanks Milwaukee Alderpersons for their Efforts to Support Furloughed City Employees

AFSCME Wisconsin laments the City of Milwaukee Common Council vote to reject economic support for city employees during the COVID-19 response and a mounting economic crisis. To meet the 2020 city budget, the City of Milwaukee proposed furloughing over 200 employees and work sharing over 500.
