New Member Welcome Letter

Welcome to AFSCME Council 32!

You are now a member of one of the largest, most democratic, and most progressive unions in the entire AFL-CIO.

AFSCME was born right here in Wisconsin almost 90 years ago. Today we represent nearly 1.6 million members nationwide. AFSCME Council 32 represents a wide array of public and private sector employees all across Wisconsin.

Browse through the Member Benefit section of our website to get familiar with the wide variety of services and resources available as an AFSCME member. We hope you will find it to be informative and useful to you.

While we are proud of the professional services and benefits that we provide to our members, we understand that the true strength of the Union lies in the active involvement of our members.

We invite you to take an active part in the affairs of your Local Union. Whether it is serving on a committee, talking to your co-workers about important issues, or simply attending regular membership meetings, your Local will be stronger if you get involved. You are the Union. Your involvement will make a difference!

Working together – elected leadership, staff, and rank and file members – Council 32 will continue to be an effective vehicle for improving the standard of living for our members and bringing a sense of pride and dignity to our workplace.

Keep up with current happenings on our social media pages:

Council 32 also offers vision care discounts and dental insurance to our members. You can find more information under the Member Benefit section of our website.

Thank you for choosing to stand together with your union brothers and sisters! YOUR UNION --YOUR VOICE -- YOUR POWER!

Again, welcome aboard!

In Solidarity,

Paul Spink, President                        Patrick Wycoff, Executive Director
