Article VIII, Section 7, and Article X, Section 1

WHEREAS, the Council’s Executive Board was restructured; and

WHEREAS, this restructure caused a reduction of board members without a reduction of work; and

WHEREAS, five standing committees exist to address the needs of the membership/Council; and

WHEREAS, the constitution specifically addresses the duty of executive board members to serve on standing committees.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the delegates to this annual convention of AFSCME Council 32 assembled in Green Bay, Wisconsin, April 8-10, 2022, hereby authorize amending Article VIII, Section 7, as follows:

“All executive board members shall serve on at least two standing committees.”

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the last sentence of Article X, Section 1, be amended to read the same.
