AFSCME Wisconsin Council 32 is proud to announce its 2024 scholarship program! Council 32 is devoted to improving educational accessibility for hardworking AFSCME families.

The new term for AFSCME PEOPLE Committee members is approaching! AFSCME PEOPLE is the political arm of AFSCME Wisconsin and service on this committee puts members in direct contact with the political operations of our organization.

PEOPLE COMMITTEE JOB DESCRIPTION

An AFSCME Member from each Senate District serves on the committee. Duties include endorsing candidates and mobilizing members in your Senate District.

AFSCME Wisconsin has two vacancies on the Executive Board and will be holding a special election to fill those vacancies. 

Nominations will be accepted from members of the Executive Board during the Special Executive Board meeting on Saturday, March 24. If you wish to be considered for nomination, please provide your name, phone number, and email address to Council 32 President Paul Spink at [email protected] no later than Monday, March 19.

AFSCME Endorses Josh Kaul For Attorney General

 AFSCME PEOPLE is pleased to announce our endorsement of Josh Kaul for Attorney General. Josh was unanimously endorsed by the committee due to his shared values and strong support of working people in Wisconsin.

This Saturday, Democratic candidates for Governor participated in an extensive interview process conducted by the AFSCME PEOPLE Committee. The event was held in Madison and was open to members - many attended and provided great input!  

AFSCME PEOPLE is excited about several of the candidates, and for that reason, will not be issuing an endorsement at this time.

Worker friendly candidate, Patty Schachtner, won a decisive victory last night in Wisconsin's 10th Senate District election to replace Republican, Sheila Harsdorf.

AFSCME is pleased to see Governor Walker finally address the problems in the juvenile corrections system after nearly 7 years of crisis in the division.
